Thredbo is famous for its legendary Thredbo Downhill. The long ski runs are transformed into a downhill mountain bike haven. The downhill mountain biking runs are accessed by the year round chairlift everyday... from November to May, so it’s a chairlift up and ride on down! There is also the “Cannonball” track for the more advanced mountain bike pursuit or the more gentle trail “Kosciuszko Flor Trail” for the intermediate rider. When the winter finished the snow melts, and with the seasonal spring rains this generates plenty of white water into the local streams, lakes and rivers. One of the most popular attractions in Thedbo and the Snowy Mounts is the scenic Kosciuskzo Express Chairlift, 1.8km long with a vertical rise of 560 meters in 15 minutes. It’s the best place to start... the summit walk to Mt Kosciuszko. It operates throughout the year, and you can purchase tickets from the Thredbo Sports Office located at the bottom of the chairlift, or you can phone 02 6459 4119. For more details click here.

Thredbo village has a 700 metre luge track that runs at high speed down the mountain. Children love it, and you will love it too as you learn to lean and control the speed of your bobsled allowing you... to go as fast or slow as you want. The bobsled operates 7 days a week from 10.00am to 5.00pm throughout summer.
